GU10 Downlight
Replaceable Lamp Format
A GU10 downlight uses a separate replaceable bulb. This provides flexibility when changing brightness, colour temperature or beam angle, subject to the fitting’s lamp restrictions.
Always check whether the chosen product is an integrated fitting or a downlight requiring a separate lamp. A GU10 bulb may not be included unless the product description specifically says so.

What does fire-rated downlight mean?
A fire-rated downlight has been tested to help maintain the fire resistance of specified ceiling constructions after a hole has been cut for the fitting. Check the exact rating and installation conditions for each model.
What IP rating do I need for a bathroom downlight?
The required IP rating depends on the downlight’s position within the bathroom electrical zones. Select a fitting explicitly suitable for the intended zone and have the installation checked by a suitably qualified person.
Can LED downlights be covered with insulation?
Only if the individual downlight and installation method are specifically approved for contact with or covering by insulation. Otherwise, the stated clearance must be maintained.
Are all Bell LED downlights dimmable?
No. Check that the individual downlight is described as dimmable and use it with a compatible LED dimmer operating within the permitted load range.
Should I choose warm white or cool white downlights?
